Brochure Style Website Design
Traditionally Brochure Style design meant a static, basic website used to highlight a company's products and services... An online brochure as the name would suggest.
This isn't quite the case anymore, a host of new technologies allow a lot more flexibility. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr easily plug in to websites and are just a few examples of how the internet is becoming authored by the people and not the sole domain of web designers!
As a very quick example the Squiders site you are on is a Brochure Style website.
All my Brochure Style Websites come packaged with the following and all included in my quote :
- A bespoke website designed to reflect your image, I never use off the shelf templates... ever.
- An Integrated CMS (Content Management System) which means you can change your web site's text and images when you want without having to keep paying me for changes.
- Comprehensive web statistics to allow you to monitor your website and find and a lot about your visitors.
- Your website will be Search Engine Optimised and submitted to the major Search Engines allowing your website the greatest exposure possible.
- Your website will be cross-browser compatible. This allows anybody on any system to view my websites correctly and I check all my code is W3C valid. Along with such internet behemoths as Google, I no longer support Internet Explorer 6. It's a browser that is nearly 10 years old and has a history of proving bad user experiences
- Web help and advice. If you have a question just ask... I am here to help and don't charge for queries! I answer the phone as well without a £1 per minute support line, at last a technically based person you can have a conversation with!
- 1 years web hosting for free on my super quick servers. This includes unlimited email accounts, thereafter it is a bargain price of £50 per year.
- Webmail included to allow you to send and receive your email from any machine with an internet connection.

Web Design Prices
As a base I charge by the page as it is the easiest to calculate and you then get a fixed price for your project.
The cost is £150 per page for the first 10 pages and £75 per page for any pages over the ten. (So a 15 page site would be £2250).
Please note, my minimum order is £600 (or 4 pages)
Ad-hoc and additional amends on sites after they are live is charged at £40 per hour.
Support and maintenance
I often get asked how much I charge support and maintenance, the answer is nothing! I make sure your site is done properly, first time and my work is guaranteed!
