Website to promote learning the english language in England.
Concorde International run residential English language courses for overseas visitors for both children and adults, they are based in Canterbury but their study centres are dotted around the south of England.
Being a site to attract visitors for whom English isn’t their first language, the key is simplicity in the website’s architecture and content. We worked with Concorde to simplify their course offerings and helped to standardise the information on each course, bringing the key facts to the top to make it easy to scan.
One of the biggest challenges was the different audiences we are talking to. You have adults looking for English course for professional or academic reasons but we also have a younger audience looking at summer schools and seeing what activities are on offer.
We are also revising copy on pages as we go along, our principal goal is promoting England as a wonderful place to visit and study, this has prompted many chats about what England means to different people, we like using test cricket as the metaphor, that you could play a game of sport for 5 days and still not have a winner! Making these idiosyncrasies and eccentricities central to the message will be the aim as we work through and update.
